Michael and Laura both have over 22 years of experience, and have personally worked with well over 2500 families. Their extensive experience allows them to tailor each case to the clients specific needs, ensuring the best possible outcome every time.
Michael is known within the industry for his uncanny ability to relate to both the adolescents, and their parents. Michael also has experience with Psycho Social Rehabilitation Services (PSR), and working with adolescents and adults who have intellectual and/or physical disabilities. or mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
Laura has an incredible ability to "connect" with the adolescents and adult clients. She is gentle, and calm, but safety is her number one priority. Laura makes a strong attempt to understand the clients needs, and adjusts accordingly. Laura also has extensive experience in working with clients who have an array of intellectual and/or physical disabilities, mental health issues, including those who might be self-harming, as well as drug and alcohol use.

After working for a different company, and witnessing unethical owners, unregulated employees and dangerous behaviors, Michael and Laura established Safe Interventions (formerly known as Youth Assist). Michael and Laura wanted to help adolescents in a more positive and safe manner, so they left the other company and founded this one in 1995.
Laura is the lead female agent, and Michael is the lead male agent at Safe Interventions.
Michael received a football scholarship to California State University Long Beach, directly from the late great George Allen, and he graduated with a Degree in Psychology in 1994.
Michael and Laura are trained in Crisis Prevention, and have both received Management of Assaultive Behavior certification. Michael and Laura are background checked by the FBI and DOJ, and Trustline Registered (a state registry that updates background information) in the State of California. Trustline registry is REQUIRED in the state of California, a lot of companies, including California based companies do not comply with this law.
Michael and Laura have two children, and understand how difficult the process is for both the families, and the client. They treat each adolescent and adult client the same way they would want someone to treat their loved one. ALWAYS with dignity and respect, and with safety being the number one concern.
